With its over 25,000 members, the American homeowners' association Tahoe Donner residential community has settled in the dreamy mountains of the Sierra Nevada. The diverse offerings for the community include a ski area, a golf course and, since summer 2023, a very special gathering space beneath Meissl umbrellas.

In summer of 2023, Open Air Design delivered two new Meissl large umbrellas for installation at the The Lodge Restaurant and Pub in the Tahoe Donner community outside Truckee, California – one of the largest homeowners' associations in America. 

As part of the renovation of the “The Lodge Restaurant & Pub”, the approximately 290 m2 outdoor area was revised as well. The new centerpieces – two Meissl large umbrellas.

The new terrace has been so successful that the Tahoe Donner team is replicating this concept again at their marina club on Donner Lake with two additional Meissl umbrellas, opening the summer of 2025.
